Public Mobile offering $40/150GB CAN/US/MEX deal via text

Public Mobile customers should keep an eye on their text messages as the company is sending out a hot offer.
According to details shared by Public customers on Reddit, the Telus-owned wireless provider is offering some people an exclusive $40/150GB plan via text. The offer is available for a limited time and goes away on April 23. Here’s what the plan includes:
- 150GB of 5G data.
- Canada, U.S., and Mexico data, calling, and texting.
- 1,000 international long-distance minutes.

If you get the text message for the plan, you can activate it by replying to the message. Some people also noted a similar offer was available through the Public Mobile app, but it costs $45/mo instead. However, that’s not as good as Public’s in-market $45 plan, which includes 175GB of data.
Speaking of in-market plans, the $40/150GB offer beats out Public’s $40/100GB plan. So, it’s definitely worth considering if you get the offer, though it’s also worth keeping in mind your current plan and usage. Several Public customers who received the offer noted in comments on Reddit that they already had cheaper plans with more data than they needed, so they didn’t want to upgrade.
