Microsoft has launched it's new “Stream Your Own Game” feature for all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. This update substantially enhances the cloud gaming experience. The feature was first introduced to Xbox Insiders in November 2024 adn went through several testing phases before its official release on April 16, 2025. This new capability is especially useful for gamers who have older consoles like the Xbox One. Such as, players can now stream demanding titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Final Fantasy XIV without being limited by their console's hardware capabilities. The service runs through Xbox Cloud Gaming and requires a reliable internet connection—ideally at least 20 Mbps download speed over Ethernet or a strong Wi-Fi connection.
Expanding Library of Games
Currently, more than 125 games support the “stream Your Own Game” feature. Microsoft plans to add even more titles in the future. This expansion not only increases the value of the $19.99 per month subscription but also aligns with Microsoft's goal of making gaming accessible across many devices.
