How to Play Connections
Connections is a daily word game focused on finding links between words. Players need to select four groups of four words while making no more than three mistakes.
You can enjoy Connections on the new York Times website or through their app available for iOS and Android devices.
The game presents a grid of 16 words that you must organize into four sets of four by discovering their connections. These sets might include themes like video game titles, book series names, shades of colors,or restaurant chains.
Some words may seem suitable for multiple categories; however, there is only one correct grouping for each set. You have the option to shuffle the grid if needed to better visualize potential connections.
The groups are color-coded: yellow indicates easier connections while green follows next in difficulty; blue and purple are harder still.
Select your four words and click Submit. If correct, those words will disappear from the grid along with their connecting theme revealed; an incorrect guess counts as a mistake against your total limit of three errors before losing the round.
