Unlock the Fun of Galaxy Z Flip 7 with These Essential Tips

For the past month,my daily companion has been the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. This foldable phone features a compact 4-inch external display, reminiscent of the iPhone 5. In contrast, I’ve switched to using the OnePlus 15, which boasts a standard-sized 6.7-inch OLED screen.
Initially, I was doubtful about how useful the cover screen would be on Samsung’s clamshell design. What could I possibly accomplish on such a small display that resembles more of a laptop than a traditional smartphone? surprisingly, it turns out that quite a bit is achievable.
In fact, over 95% of my mobile tasks in recent weeks have been efficiently managed through this external screen. This unconventional setup has significantly reduced my time spent mindlessly scrolling through social media or browsing Reddit memes. More importantly, it has provided me with one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had with any phone.
The Allure of Compact Design
I can’t emphasize enough how tired my hands and pockets have become from lugging around too many gadgets—more than anyone should realistically carry! As a tech journalist reviewing multiple devices at once (usually three to four), managing all this gear can feel like an exercise in personal logistics.
I recognize both the privilege and duty that come with this role. However, constantly worrying about losing one of these devices while traveling for most of the year is always on my mind.Lately, I've even found myself opting for cargo jeans rather of regular ones as they offer ample pocket space for earbuds, smartwatches, power banks—and yes—a minimum of two phones!
The Galaxy Z flip 7's cute clamshell design allows me to easily slip it into my shirt pocket without any awkward protrusions.Even when placed in jeans or bags alongside other items like another phone or headphones, it doesn’t create an unsightly bulge.
When holding it in hand as well, its compact form alleviates grip fatigue compared to traditional smartphones. The square shape feels secure and agreeable when folded up; unlike conventional phones where part remains exposed at all times.
Functionality: Does It Deliver?
This was certainly one question weighing heavily on my mind as well! Rather of challenging myself to rely solely on the cover display for an entire day—or even week—I found that transitioning felt natural and surprisingly seamless.
My first experience with Samsung’s tiny screens began with just a modestly sized 1.9-inch display on its predecessor model—the Galaxy Z Flip 4—which required third-party apps just to function properly back then! Thankfully now things are different; Samsung allows you to run almost any app directly if you're willing to take some risks!
You can start by navigating through Advanced Features > Labs > Cover Screen within your Settings app where you'll find several apps ready for use—but not every single one will work here yet!
The key feature lies within Samsung's MultiStar utility included in their Good Lock module—simply download from Galaxy Store and add desired apps onto your cover screen interface!
If you want more options later down line? Just revisit those same settings mentioned earlier: tap “Get MultiStar” button at bottom which takes you straight into setup page allowing selection/addition onto launcher widget displayed externally!
I personally added every app featured prominently across home screens including WhatsApp Slack Teams Google Pay Chrome X Gmail—all essential tools needed throughout daily life activities were covered nicely here too!
