Telus Launches ‘Buy One, Give One’ Initiative for Black Friday
This Black Friday, Telus is back with its heartwarming ‘Buy One, Give One’ campaign. For every phone sold between November 28 and 30, the company will donate a free phone to Canadian youth in need. This initiative aims to support those transitioning out of foster care.
How the Programme Works
During this special event,when customers purchase either a new or certified pre-owned device from Telus,they will also contribute to providing a free phone and plan for young individuals who are aging out of government care. The program is part of Telus' Mobility for Good initiative, which has been offering complimentary or discounted phones and wireless services since its inception.
The focus of this program includes supporting youth leaving foster care, refugees receiving government assistance, and Indigenous women facing violence or recovering from it. Since launching in 2017, Telus reports that it has positively impacted over 69,000 lives through these efforts.
Eligibility Requirements
If you’re interested in participating in the Buy One, Give One campaign at Telus this Black Friday, there are some conditions to keep in mind. Customers must buy an eligible device with a postpaid activation while opting for a two-year financing plan under the Telus Easy Payment system.

This year’s promotion has a cap; up to 5,000 phones will be given away as part of this initiative. In previous years—2024 saw promises of up to 7,000 devices distributed while 2023 had commitments for around 5,500—Telus continues its dedication to making an impact during these promotional events.
