How to Play connections

You can enjoy Connections on the New york Times website or through their app available for iOS and Android devices.

In this game, you'll see a grid filled with 16 words. Your goal is to group these words into four sets of four by identifying how they connect. These groups might include themes like video game titles, book series names, shades of colors, or restaurant chains.

While some words may seem suitable for multiple categories, onyl one correct grouping exists for each set. You can shuffle the word grid if needed to help spot connections more easily.

Each group has a color code indicating its difficulty level: yellow is easiest; green follows; then blue; and finally purple.To make a guess, select four words and click Submit. If you're right, those words will disappear from the grid along with their theme revealed. Though, if you guess incorrectly it counts as one mistake against your total of four allowed mistakes before losing the game.
