Break Language Barriers with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses
If you own Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, communicating in different languages during your travels just got easier. meta has introduced a live translation feature for all users of these glasses.
Easy Live Translation Access
Meta shared the news in a recent blog post, announcing that this feature will be available in every market where the glasses are sold starting Wednesday. To activate it, simply say, “Hey Meta, start live translation.” The glasses will then translate conversations from English, Spanish, Italian, and French into your chosen language. Think of them as your personal translator.
Offline Functionality for Convenience
An exciting aspect of this update is that if you downloaded the necessary language pack before the latest upgrade, you won’t need Wi-Fi or cellular data to use live translation. This means that while traveling abroad, the glasses can help translate spoken words and even written text—like signs or menus—making navigation much simpler.
A Sneak Peek at Connect 2024
Meta first hinted at this live translation capability during its Connect 2024 event last September. Following that proclamation, select users from an Early Access program were able to test it out in certain countries three months later.
Enhanced Communication Features
Alongside live translation for all Ray-Ban Meta Glasses owners, there are new features to enhance communication. Users can now send and receive direct messages and photos through Instagram directly on their glasses. Additionally,audio calls and video calls are also supported on this device.
New Style Options Available
In addition to these functional updates, users can now purchase new lens colors for their Skyler frame style. options include Transitions Sapphire lenses paired with the new Skyler Shiny Chalky Gray frame as well as G15 Green lenses or Clear lenses with the Skyler Shiny Black frame.
