“During the SID Business Conference today, it was confirmed that phones featuring under-panel Face ID using their materials are expected to hit stores in 2026,” young stated. “This indicates that iPhone 18 Pro models will likely include this feature first.”

Though, implementing this technology poses critically important challenges for Apple.
