Lost in Cult is recognized for its work on video game literature through the Design Works series. The studio also produces vinyl records‌ that showcase ⁤game‍ soundtracks. With the launch of Editions, they continue their mission of preserving games and providing curated content. This ⁢project resembles a collection similar to Criterion but focuses on ‌video games instead.

First Wave of Releases

The initial lineup‌ includes three acclaimed indie titles: Immortality, Thank ⁢Goodness You’re Here, and The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow. All ‍three have received high praise this decade; notably, Immortality was⁣ named⁢ runner-up for Game of ‌the Year in 2022 by Digital Trends.

Each edition will come with extras like posters, art cards, essays, and interviews that highlight each game's significance.

Pricing and Availability

These special editions are available for pre-order at £60 each. Lost in Cult plans to ship worldwide within‌ six months but aims for a quicker turnaround time of ‌about three months.

Platform Details

At launch, these editions will be available only for PS5⁤ and‍ Nintendo ‍Switch consoles. Specifically:

thank goodness You’re Here will be offered on both platforms.
Immortality is⁣ set for PS5 only.
The Excavation‍ of Hob’s Barrow will⁢ be released exclusively on Switch.

There will be limited copies available per platform; however, standard versions will also hit retail stores later.

Future Plans

Lost in Cult has confirmed plans for future Nintendo Switch 2 Editions (not related to‌ other previously mentioned versions). These upcoming releases are expected‌ to include full editions rather than just digital key cards.

More titles are set to follow soon after this‌ launch. Although there won’t be any new releases in June, another Edition is scheduled for july across both Nintendo Switch and PS5 platforms. The ⁤company hints that this next title is an “artful” game with more planned releases extending into 2026.
