Fido Raises Monthly Bills for Some Customers by $5

Fido Customers Face New Monthly Fee Increase
A Fido user recently shared on social media that they received a notification from the carrier about an upcoming $5 (plus taxes) increase in their monthly bill, effective on or after December 2.
Who Will Be Affected by the Price Hike?
This fee adjustment may not impact every customer. Some Fido users experienced a similar $5 increase back in June, while others reported ongoing monthly hikes. If you were among those who saw the price rise earlier this year, it’s likely that this new charge won’t apply to you—at least we hope so.
They are increasing the rates again??

A History of Price Increases
The same customer also noted they had already faced a $3 monthly hike earlier. Back in March, we reported that some Rogers and Fido users were hit with a similar $3 increase starting in April.
We reached out to Rogers, which owns Fido, for more details regarding this latest price change. It’s common knowledge that most carriers adjust their prices periodically. Finding plans without clauses allowing for future increases is quite rare.
Your Options Moving Forward
If you're facing this new fee hike and are unhappy about it, consider switching providers.there are several wireless companies offering competitive pricing options like Freedom Mobile or Public Mobile. Alternatively, if you can hold off for a bit longer, Black friday deals could be just around the corner later this month.
