Hades 2 marks Supergiant's first sequel, following their accomplished original game that won multiple Game of the Year awards. Previously, all their titles were standalone experiences like Bastion and Transistor. Greg Kasavin from Supergiant shared his thoughts: “After more than 15 years, we decided to try one.” He added humorously that they approach sequels with both caution and respect.

The development team is dedicated to ensuring top-notch performance in this sequel. They highlighted how well the controls work on the new hardware of nintendo Switch 2. Amir Rao, Studio Director at Supergiant Games, stated: “We learned so much from developing the original game on Nintendo Switch.” He emphasized their commitment to achieving smooth gameplay at a target of 60 frames per second.
With enhanced capabilities in the new console, they plan to improve graphical features significantly. Rao expressed confidence in pushing these boundaries thanks to additional power available with Nintendo Switch 2.

The Creator’s Voice video concluded with a promise of further updates later this year. Rao expressed gratitude towards fans by saying: “We could not make these games without your support.”
