Apple Unveils 2025 Pride Collection
Apple has introduced its “2025 Pride Collection,” featuring a new Sport Band for the Apple Watch, an animated watch face, and vibrant wallpapers for iOS and iPadOS. The watch band is available for purchase now, while the watch face and wallpapers will be released in future software updates.
A Tradition of Party
For nearly ten years, Apple has launched special edition watch bands to honor Pride Month. Each year brings a fresh interpretation of the rainbow theme. This year's design is straightforward,showcasing bold stripes that resemble actual pride flags.
Dynamic Watch Face features
The new watch face includes an animation that cycles through various colors diagonally. According to Apple, when users raise their wrist to check the time, the colorful stripes transform into numbers. Though, it’s unclear how visible these numbers are based on promotional images.
Interactive Wallpapers for Devices
The wallpapers designed for iPhone and iPad change as you move or unlock your device. Users can expect access to these features with upcoming updates: watchOS 11.5, iOS 18.5, and iPadOS 18.5. Notably absent is a macOS version of the wallpaper; this aligns with previous releases that also lacked one.
Quality Material Choice
The Sport Band is crafted from silicone with each color mixed separately before being molded together under pressure. This material choice suits such luminous designs well because it’s easy to clean and durable over time—ideal for maintaining vibrant colors without fading or dirt buildup.
Brightest Design Yet
This year's design stands out as one of Apple's brightest in recent memory; last year’s Braided Solo Loop featured darker tones while 2023's Sport Band had a more subtle white background. In comparison, the two Pride Sport Loop editions from 2022 were almost pastel-like next to this year's vivid offering.
