Understanding Connections: A Fun Word Puzzle Game
Connections is a popular puzzle game from the New York Times. Yoru goal is to sort 16 words into four hidden groups based on their relationships. The puzzle resets every night at midnight, offering different levels of challenge each time. Like Wordle, you can track your wins and compete with friends.
Some puzzles are easier than others, similar to other NYT favorites like The Mini and Strands. If you're stuck on today's puzzle, check out our tips for strategies or hints below. We’ll also provide today’s answers at the end.
How to Play Connections
You can enjoy Connections on the New york Times website or through the NYT Games app available for iOS and Android.
The game presents a grid of 16 words. Your task is to group these words into four sets of four by finding their connections. These groups might include themes like video game titles, book series, shades of red, or restaurant names.
You may find some words that fit multiple categories; however, there’s only one correct grouping for each puzzle. You can shuffle the word grid to help identify possible connections more easily.
The groups are color-coded: yellow is easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, those words will disappear from the grid along with their theme revealed. an incorrect guess counts as a mistake; you have up to three mistakes before losing the game.
