Koodo Boosts Black Friday Plans with Extra 10GB of Data

Koodo Sweetens Black Friday Offers with Extra Data
Just days after unveiling its initial Black Friday promotions, koodo, a subsidiary of Telus, has enhanced its deals. The wireless provider has boosted the data limits on several of its bring-your-own-phone (BYOP) plans by an extraordinary 10GB. This change makes their offerings even more attractive to potential customers.
Updated Plans and Pricing
The revised plans from Koodo are as follows:
- $40 for 50GB of 5G data (previously $40 for 40GB)
- $50 for 70GB of 5G data (previously $50 for 60GB)
- $75 for 100GB of 5G data (remains unchanged)
These prices come with a $10 monthly discount if you opt for automatic bank payments.Additionally, all plans feature unlimited calling across Canada and unlimited international text messaging, plus one complimentary perk.
KoodoS updated plans as of november 21, 2025.
A Variety of Free Perks
Koodo offers different free perks depending on the plan you choose. Options may include premium voicemail services, rollover data options, a boost in your connection speed to access faster 5G speeds, or three-day Easy Roam access in the U.S.or internationally.
Competitive Edge Against Rivals
This increase in available data makes Koodo’s offerings more appealing than before and positions them competitively against other providers. For instance, Bell’s Virgin Plus is currently offering plans at $50 for only 50GB and $55 for just up to 70GB—both including their own additional bonus of up to another ten gigabytes—making these options pricier compared to what Koodo now provides.
Similarly, rogers’ Fido also presents comparable pricing with their own $50/50GB and $55/70GB packages.
A Look at Cheaper Alternatives
If you're considering budget-friendly choices instead, companies like Freedom Mobile and Public Mobile offer lower-priced alternatives. Freedom Mobile features options such as a plan priced at $39 per month that includes an impressive amount of up to 60 GB or another option at $49 per month that provides 100 GB—all while supporting usage across Canada as well as in the U.S.and Mexico.
Public Mobile's offerings are similar but generally cost about a dollar more each month while providing slightly less data overall compared to Freedom's selections.
Koodo: A Solid Choice Despite Competition
If you happen not to live near areas where Freedom operates effectively or if you're looking specifically within Koodo’s range without needing extensive coverage elsewhere—the new plan priced at $40/month with 50 GB could be quite reasonable indeed! As we approach Black Friday itself though; let’s keep our fingers crossed that even better deals might emerge!
