The One New iPhone I Wouldn’t Buy and Why You Should Care

Apple's recent phone launch has been one of the most thorough in years. A few weeks ago, the company introduced four new iPhone models, each designed with a distinct purpose⁢ in mind.

This year stands out because every new⁤ model features substantial upgrades ⁢compared to their predecessors. Each device is aimed at a specific audience, and thanks to an entirely new design, there’s now more variety in screen sizes than ever ⁣before.

After testing all four of Apple’s latest iPhones, I found three that I genuinely love. However, ‌there's one model that I wouldn’t recommend this year. While it may appeal to many users and isn’t necessarily‌ bad, it simply doesn’t make my ⁣list of top picks for 2023. Here’s my take on ⁤each model.

The iPhone 17: The Top Choice for Most Users

Without a doubt, the iPhone 17 stands out as the best option ⁤for most consumers this year. In fact,it might just be the best smartphone available ‌right now.

I’ve previously mentioned how great the iPhone 17 ⁢is; though, its improvements aren’t as eye-catching as those found in other models. Yet this subtlety is what makes it such an outstanding smartphone and an ideal choice for many users.

The⁣ display on the iPhone 17 matches that‌ of its Pro counterpart closely;⁤ thus, there are fewer differences between these two devices than ever before. Essentially, if you want nearly all of ‌what the iPhone 17 Pro offers but ‌don’t need advanced zoom ⁢capabilities in yoru camera setup—this phone is perfect⁣ for you.

I ⁤frequently enough find⁢ myself mistakenly grabbing the iPhone 17 when I intended to pick up‍ the Pro ⁢version—onyl realizing my error when I open up my camera or flip over my ⁢phone! If you're looking for about 90% of what makes⁤ the Pro special at around 70% of its price tag—the standard⁢ iPhone 17 should be⁢ your go-to choice.

The ‍Delightful⁢ New iPhone Air

Next up is my personal⁢ favorite: the brand-new ⁤iPhone Air! Even though I primarily use an SIM card with my Pro model daily, I've enjoyed using this lighter device more than any other this year. In many respects, it's ⁢been one of Apple's most enjoyable phones in quite some time!

I’ve noted before how well this device aligns with Steve Jobs's original vision—a revolutionary internet communicator—and it truly shines during casual activities like scrolling through social media or making calls while falling⁤ short only when ⁤high-quality photography is needed.

The trade-offs have proven worthwhile as there's one major ⁣advantage: its size! The first thing you'll notice about it? It measures just a ⁤slim 5.64mm thick—making it⁢ feel fantastic even with a ⁣case on!

Additionally—and perhaps even more importantly—the display size comes into play here too: ⁢at ⁢six-and-a-half inches wide;⁢ it's been six years since we saw an‌ Apple phone feature such dimensions! This screen surpasses that found on previous models like the iPhone 11 Pro max (which was slightly smaller) while offering better quality overall—making⁣ everyday tasks much easier!

A Satisfying Upgrade: The Newest ⁢Pro Model

I’ve relied ‍on various‍ versions ⁤from Apple's “Pro” line over nearly ten ⁤years as⁤ part of⁤ my daily tech routine—and finally—they've delivered everything I've wanted from their latest iteration!

This year's enhancements ⁣address several⁤ issues where Android competitors had⁣ previously taken charge over recent times—including battery life improvements! Thanks to optimizations⁤ within both A19 chipsets and software updates—the smaller variant can‌ now provide true‍ multi-day usage without needing constant recharging throughout busy days ahead!

A Heavyweight Challenge: The Size Dilemma

However—not everything about these changes has come without drawbacks; specifically regarding weight distribution across newer⁢ devices which‍ tend towards being heavier overall⁤ compared against older generations—but thankfully not excessively so ⁤concerning regular-sized options like our beloved “Pro” series phones themselves!

This‍ added heft does become problematic though once we consider ⁤larger variants such‍ as “Max”—where handling becomes cumbersome especially‌ if encased within ‍protective gear meant solely designed around safeguarding fragile screens instead rather than enhancing usability itself during day-to-day‌ operations…

Despite having improved battery performance across all models‌ including Max—it still lacks appeal due largely due weightiness alone making them less desirable choices among potential buyers ⁤seeking something lightweight yet powerful enough handle demanding tasks effortlessly without feeling weighed⁣ down ⁤unnecessarily…

No matter which option you choose from apple’s lineup—you can expect exciting developments next year too especially surrounding rumors regarding possible foldable designs hitting shelves soon after release⁣ dates arrive later down road ahead…so keep your eyes peeled folks because there has never been better time invest into purchasing any ‍kind mobile technology today!
