ActiveVoices Launches AI SaaS Platform Boosting Revenue and Cutting Costs

OverActive Media Reports Strong Q2 2025 Results
August 20,2025 (TORONTO,CANADA) – OverActive Media Corp. (“OverActive” or the “Company”) (TSXV:OAM) (OTC:OAMCF), a leading esports and entertainment company catering to today’s fans, has announced its financial performance for the three and six-month period ending June 30, 2025.
“The second quarter was all about execution and focus,” stated Adam Adamou,CEO of OverActive media. “We successfully hosted two landmark events—‘LEC on the Road’ in Madrid and the ‘Call of Duty League Championship Weekend’ in Canada—while also expanding our influencer operations. These achievements highlight our capability to generate interest, provide top-notch fan experiences, and turn those into revenue across various markets. We kept a close eye on costs as well; operating expenses dropped by 14% even while we invested in team rosters and production capabilities. The profit margins this quarter reflect a strategic shift towards events and agency work; we anticipate a return to balance in the latter half of the year as higher-margin league-share revenues and digital merchandise come into play. With $5.1 million in cash reserves and positive working capital, we are well-positioned to enhance margins while progressing toward profitability.”
Mr. Adamou added that earlier this month they introduced ActiveVoices—a proprietary AI-driven platform that offers real-time translation, dubbing services, and multi-platform publishing across more than twelve languages. This scalable SaaS product builds upon their existing content creation network and production resources. He believes ActiveVoices can capture significant market share within the global creator economy while aligning with their mission to connect audiences worldwide.
He concluded by stating that with high-margin revenue streams contracted for growth later this year, they remain committed to achieving profitability goals set for 2025.
Q2 Financial Highlights
In Q2 2025, OverActive reported revenues of $8.36 million—a notable increase of 26% from $6.62 million during the same period last year—primarily driven by robust growth in Business Operations led by Events and Agencies which compensated for lower League revenues due to timing issues along with fewer esports events compared to last year.
Gross profit stood at $4 million with a gross margin of 48%, down from $4.1 million at a margin of 62% during Q2 last year due mainly to changes in revenue sources where Events generated lower margins compared to League-share income or digital merchandise sales.
Operating expenses fell by 14%, totaling $5.17 million compared with $6.03 million from Q2 last year thanks largely to reduced restructuring costs despite increased payroll expenses related directly to team rosters.
Adjusted EBITDA showed a loss of $1.02 million versus a loss of $1.23 million recorded during Q2 last year; this slight improvement is attributed mainly due fewer add-backs especially around restructuring costs alongside stronger performances from Events & Agency sectors coupled with reduced operational expenditures overall.
Year-to-Date financial Overview
for the first half-year results ending June totaled up at an impressive figure reaching approximately $13 .36 million representing an increase of 30% when juxtaposed against $10 .28 million earned over H1 previous fiscal cycle driven primarily through enhanced agency contracts along heightened event earnings plus sponsorship activations following acquisition deals made earlier this March involving KOI & Riders franchises which contributed significantly towards overall growth figures despite experiencing declines within Team Operations sector reflecting lesser league-related income stemming partly from timing discrepancies alongside absence surrounding prior-year Esports World Cup competitions held previously .
