This new feature will allow homeowners to contact trained agents to connect with local law enforcement while away from home, all through the Rogers Xfinity app.

The new Rogers Xfinity Self Protection plan also sports 24/7 continuous video recording, which the telecom giant states is available through features like indoor and outdoor security cameras, sensors, and smart door locks. The video recording also has seven days’ worth of video recordings stored in the cloud.

The Rogers Xfinity Protection Plans are available in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Rogers states in the press release that it will roll out in the rest of the country later in the year. The previously mentioned Urgent Response feature is now available across the country as an add-on.
