### How to Play strands
In each Strands puzzle, your main task is to uncover “theme words” hidden within a grid of letters. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping them to form words; double-tap the last letter when you're done. Correctly identified words will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Even if you discover a word that isn’t part of the theme, it still counts! For every three non-theme words that are four letters or longer that you find, you'll receive a hint—one letter from one of the theme words will be revealed for you to unscramble.Every letter in the grid contributes directly to spelling out theme words without any overlap. Each letter is used only once throughout each puzzle.
Additionally, every puzzle features one “spangram,” which is a special word (or set of words) related to its theme and connects two opposite sides of the board. When found, this spangram will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim is not just completion but doing so quickly while minimizing hints used.
