Transform Your Xbox: New Pinnable Games Feature on Home Screen!

Xbox Home Screen Upgrades: A new Level of Customization
Microsoft is introducing significant updates to the Home screen for Xbox consoles. these changes give players more control over how their dashboard looks and functions. Starting this week, members of the Xbox Insider Program can pin up to three favorite games or apps directly on their Home screen. This feature ensures that these preferred titles are always easy to find, even as other content moves down the list.
Swift Access to Favorite Titles
Eden Marie, a Principal Software Engineering Lead for Xbox Experiences, explained that pinned items will stay at the top of the list when launching other applications. This design allows quick access to frequently played games without searching through various menus. Along with pinning favorites, Insiders will soon have an option to hide system apps from their view. This change helps reduce clutter and allows gamers to focus on what they actually use.
Tailored Viewing Experience
The update also provides options for customizing how many tiles appear in the “Recently Played” section. Players can adjust tile sizes according to their preferences—whether they want a compact layout or a more spacious one. Marie emphasized that these updates are based on feedback from users: “We’ve heard from many of you that home should feel more like your space.” The goal is clear: make it easier for players by highlighting favorite games and minimizing unused apps.
Continuous Improvement Since 2022
This update continues Microsoft’s efforts in enhancing user experience since last year’s major interface refresh. That earlier update brought richer backgrounds, quicker navigation between games and settings, and better integration with the Xbox Store. With these new features added this week, Microsoft aims to provide a personalized interface similar to those found on PlayStation's Control Center and Nintendo's custom profiles.
Future Availability
Currently available only through the Insider Program, these enhancements are set to roll out across all Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles later this year.Players who want an early look at these features should consider joining the insider rings now for early access.By focusing on user feedback and making meaningful changes, Microsoft is working hard toward creating a gaming environment tailored specifically for its users’ needs.
