New Karate Kid Game Launches in Roblox
Roblox players are about to learn karate with the famous phrase: “Wax on, wax off.” Gamefam has partnered with Sony Pictures to introduce the free Karate Kid Training Simulator in Roblox. This launch comes just before the release of Karate Kid: Legends in theaters.
Exciting collaboration
Gamefam shared details about this new game through a press declaration. The simulator aims to immerse players in the world of Karate Kid: Legends, allowing them to train alongside beloved characters like Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Han, portrayed by ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan, respectively. Players will experiance iconic scenes from the upcoming movie as they prepare for its theatrical debut on May 30.
In this virtual setting, players will receive training from legendary karate masters across various locations such as New York City streets, a rooftop dojo, and Victory Pizza. They can sharpen their skills while competing against other players and masters.
Weekly challenges Await
Players can also participate in weekly challenges related to Karate Kid: Legends. Completing these tasks will reward them with exclusive items for their avatars. These rewards include fun accessories like a bonsai tree headpiece, a bandana, a victory Pizza backpack, and even a special hat shaped like a popcorn bucket featuring the movie's logo.
Engaging Younger Audiences
Ricardo briceno, Chief Business Officer at Gamefam, explained that this simulator is designed to connect Gen Z and Alpha audiences with an iconic film franchise that was popular during the '80s and '90s—and continues today thanks to shows like Cobra Kai. The goal is to spark interest in the new movie by engaging younger fans where they spend their time online.
Briceno emphasized that reaching these generations requires more than conventional marketing methods; it involves being present in spaces where they play games and socialize with friends. He noted how essential Roblox has become for maintaining cultural relevance ahead of major film releases.
