They believe Nintendo understands its core audience will still purchase at these rates while also being cautious amid new tariffs in the U.S.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is priced at $450, while a bundle with Mario Kart World will cost $500—similar to PS5 and Xbox Series X prices. The increase can be attributed to recent tariffs and comparable hardware pricing.
Rhys Elliott from Alinea Analytics notes that “nintendo depends heavily on console sales,” making loss-leading strategies unfeasible.
