Finding All Lost Gestrals in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
In the game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, one of your first side quests involves locating sastro’s lost Gestrals. There are nine Gestrals scattered throughout the vast overworld, making it challenging to find them all.
Some of these little creatures are easy to spot along your journey to defeat the Paintress. Others are hidden and can only be accessed later in the game. If you can handle a Burgeon, you can definitely track down all the Gestrals. This guide will help you locate each one and explain what rewards await for finding them.
Locations of All Lost Gestrals
Gestral 1: Esquie’s Nest
The first Gestral is located right outside Esquie’s Nest, a place you'll visit during the main story. After speaking with him, he will join your camp. You might even encounter this character before meeting Sastro, who is searching for all the lost Gestrals.
Gestral 2: stone Wave cliffs
The second lost Gestral is found just north of Esquie’s nest and southeast of Stone Wave Cliffs. Instead of heading directly to Stone Wave Cliffs, take a path on your right; at its end lies another lost Gestral.
you need to progress past Act 1 into Act 2 to access these locations. In Act 2, Esquie's ability allows you to pass through blue rocks that lead you here.
Gestral 3: White Tree Island
This next lost Gestral requires unlocking Esquie's swimming ability first.it hides on an island featuring a White Tree; look for it in a corner on that island.
Gestral 4: Monoco Station Area
The fourth lost Gestral is near Monoco Station but not too far from it either. It stands between two trees and can be easily overlooked; access this area after passing through Forgotten Battlefield.
Gestral 5: Coastal Cave region
Your next find is east from where you discovered the previous one—across Coastal Cave's opposite side.Swim over to that northern part of the island for another hidden surprise!
Gestral 6: Red Island Finding
This sixth Gestral awaits on a red island southwest from Visages Island.Swim towards its right side until you spot this elusive creature waiting there.
Latter Lost Gestrals Found in Act Three
Gestral 7: The Reacher Area
You’ll need to reach Act Three before finding these last three Gestrels! By now, Esquie has gained flying abilities—head northeast toward The reacher forest area where this Gestral hides behind a fallen log.
Gestral 8: Endless Night Sanctuary Location
Your next stop takes you flying over eastern map regions until reaching Endless Night Sanctuary within a red forest area; near its entrance lies another hidden Gestral waiting for discovery!

The final lost Gestral proves most challenging as it's tucked away on an isolated floating island just outside Endless Tower! Fly high until spotting this small floating landmass then land there—you’ve found your last treasure!
