Telus Launches Exciting New Offers to Boost Reforestation Efforts!

Telus Launches New initiatives for Reforestation During Earth month 2025
As Earth month 2025 unfolds, Telus has introduced two exciting initiatives aimed at aiding reforestation efforts in response to the severe wildfires that have impacted large areas of North America.
Buy One, Plant One Campaign
From April 17 to May 15, telus is offering a special promotion called the Buy One, Plant One campaign. For each new or certified pre-owned Android device purchased during this period, Telus will plant a tree in regions affected by wildfires.Additionally, customers who trade in a pre-owned device will trigger the planting of an extra tree. This initiative is accessible online and through customer service representatives at select Telus and Koodo stores.
Tree Totes for a Greener Future
In addition to the Buy One, plant One campaign, Telus has unveiled limited-edition Tree Totes available at select stores across Canada. Thes tote bags are made entirely from recyclable materials and are priced at $3 each. For every tote bag sold, Telus commits to planting one tree in wildfire-impacted areas within Canada.
extraordinary Environmental Impact
To highlight its commitment to environmental sustainability, Telus has already planted an impressive 19 million trees throughout Canada—an area comparable to the size of Vancouver. Since 2010, they have also successfully diverted around 15 million devices from landfills; this includes over four million mobile phones.
Bring-It-Back Program: A Lasting Choice
Telus offers a Bring-It-Back program that allows customers to trade in their old mobile devices easily. This program not only helps reduce the cost of purchasing new smartphones but also plays a significant role in minimizing electronic waste by keeping devices out of landfills.
The Benefits of Reforestation Efforts
Research conducted by the USDA shows that areas where trees are planted recover more quickly then those left untouched. Specifically, these planted regions grow back about 25.7% faster than similar unplanted areas. Furthermore, survival rates for newly planted seedlings average around 79.5% after just one growing season.Through these initiatives during Earth Month and beyond, Telus demonstrates its dedication to environmental stewardship while encouraging consumers to participate actively in reforestation efforts across North America.
